I am so very honored to present to you, the entries for the Cookie Throwdown #4 - "Children's Fairytales"
I don't know about the rest of you... but I am SO inspired! Thank you to Yankeegal and Homemade-Goodies for your beautiful and creative submissions. (I'm the lucky one.... being the poster, I'm not allowed to vote, so I don't have to choose icon_smile.gif )
Voting will run through Monday, October 6th.
Good Luck, and thanks again!!

After checking back in with this post several times, I've noticed that the pics seem to show up sometimes and then sometimes not. If the photos don't show up in the body of the post, first try clicking on blue box (sometimes with a question mark in it). If that doesn't work, try it again. If that doesn't work, try refreshing the page.
If this still doesn't work, I've posted them in "my photos" and in the cookie gallery - so go there to look, and come back here to vote.

It shouldn't be this complicated, right? If anyone has suggestions for me.... please do pass them on. I just want to make sure that both pics get equal "media exposure" and that its fair.

Bossy - take a look in my photos, then come back here to vote. I posted them both there in case you have trouble seeing them here.

I saw the Cinderella bouquet right away, but I had to click on the Hansel and Gretel pic for it to load. I did see the Hansel and Gretel, then went back to see Cinderella again. When I returned to the other for the second look, it told me the file no longer existed! icon_eek.gif They are both WONDERFUL! From what I can remember..I loved the glass slipper on the pillow...the tassels were a GREAT detail! icon_smile.gif In the Hansel and Gretel bouquet...I loved the candy cottage, and the detail in the witch was fabulous (I loved her hooked nose!) It will be a tough decision, but I will not vote until I'm able to view the H & G for a second time. Great work to both contestants, and thanks for sharing your hard work with the rest of us!

Both were awesome! I love the idea of the cookie throwdowns. I only wish I was talented enough to compete. Maybe if I keep tweaking my skills. You ladies are amazing. I am in awe!

There is so much to admire about both entries. The Cinderella bouquet has so much detail. I love the beautiful "scene" set with Hansel & Gretel. It's one of my favorite stories (I collect gingerbread children's books!).

Thank you ladies for participating -- we've all enjoyed it! icon_biggrin.gif

Ok, I think the thumping is nearly done here, hehe.

Again, it's been a wonderful experience, and I've had a blast giving it a go! Thanks for letting me play with the big dogs, yankeegal - I bow to your incredible talents, you've skunked me fair and square!! thumbs_up.gif

Thanks Sweetdreams....

I think we need to compile a list of all that would like to participate in the cookie throwdown. I am going to start one and encourage all who are interested to sign up. If you are interested, please PM me and I will post the list after say 1 week if that is okay with everyone?

Thanks again everyone and especially Home-made goodies who was a gracious competitor!

Maybe if you offered to spot them a 50 vote handicap? You're cookie decorating skills are a bit intimidating!

She is very intimidating but it is still a fun concept and allows us to see more of her great work. Come on everybody....get involved!

I don't want to discourage anyone...and would be happy to forego my turn so others would participate if that is the problem? I like to see everyone's different styles of cookies as well.

GeminiRJ Posted 10 Oct 2008 , 5:59pm

I hope everyone realizes I was joking when I said I'd have to be bribed to compete against yankeegal! (Though, I think the extra votes are what it would take to win!)
