What is the technique in decorating layers of fresh flowers in between tiered cakes (especially on wedding cakes). My concern is that the flowers might fall off if they are not properly reinforced but I am not certain how to do it. Thank you for your help.
Welcome to cake central. Usually, they flowers are inserted into floral foam of styrofoam to hold them in place. If you use stiff styro, you may need to punch the whole with something to allow the flower stem to insert.
If you end up with flowers with short stems, you can tape them to wire and insert the wire.
Flowers should not touch the cake, unless they are pesticide free.
