I am new to this whole fondant thing, but I quickly discovered that I don't care for the taste of the Wilton fondant. I have read great reviews of the MMF recipe on this site. The recipe says that you can mix it by hand, but I'm wondering how hard it is to do that.

I do have a kitchenaid mixer, but I don't have a clue where the dough hook has disappeared to.

So, have you made MMF by hand mixing and was it difficult?

Thanks.

I do mine by hand...I don't find it hard at all, but I just do 1 batch (3 lbs) at a time. I used to make my own pasta so I'm used to kneading dough.

Thanks. I might give it a try. How long do you knead it for or are you just kneading it until the ingredients are mixed together?

I knead until it is all mixed together and then some. The last time I didn't knead enough and I had clumps of PS throughout my batch, which meant as I used it, I needed to knead it more.
