I've been asked to make a cake in the shape of a #1 for a little girl's first birthday, just like the one in my pics. I'm not sure what to do..
Should I put the #1 on top of a sheet cake? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

To get that many servings you definately will need a base cake of some sort.

I would say putting it on top of a sheet cake would be perfect.

ps... I just looked at your number one cake. It's so cute!
