ACCKK of course I just got back from the store!!!
I need to make chocolate cupcakes, but can I make them from a yellow cake mix or butter golden)??? how do I not have chocolate mix????
Can I add melted choc or cocoa, have you tried before and is it any good or should I just hightail myself back to the store? TIA

Yes definately you can add both and it will be goodicon_smile.gif
You also should probably add a pinch of baking soda.......there's something aobut the chemical reactionj of choco that is helped by that.

Some of my greatest creations are out of desperation. I live pretty darn far from the grocery store. If using cocoa powder, it may work. If you use chocolate squares and your recipe calls for oil, I would use poss. 1 tbls less per square you use. All you can do is try. I also would replace some of the water/milk with coffee. Seems to help the flavor of the chocolate. Hope it works.

Thanks ladies! I am adding 1/4 c cocoa, an extra egg, extra oil, some applesauce and pudding and a lil baking soda. I always use coffee in my chocolate cake too!!! thumbs_up.gif
