Hey All!!

I am needing quite a bit of black fondant and I have been reading about making the fondant chocolate and then adding black, which was awesome advice!! However, if I preferred the regular fondant(instead of chocolate) would it basically work the same with brown gel color first and then adding black?? could I achieve the same results?? Any tips welcome!!!! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

I use Americolor Super Black food coloring for black fondant. Add a little at a time to avoid adding too much moisture to your fondant (which will make it sticky).

I suggest buying the Black Vanilla fondant from Satin Ice. I have made Black MMF 3x now, never successful. It is beyond a pain in the butt. I barely got the one cake (on my gallery) covered. All the black coloring, even with adding brown first does something mean and nasty. I would to know the secret!
