Ok, those are beyond adorable you guys!!! What a hoot, and a great idea! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm having trouble seeing pictures in these threads, that's why I asked Fiddle to mail it to me!
Ahhhh, I get it. Can you send them to me. Sounds like a fun idea for Christmas.
fiddlesticks, would you pm the whoopie pie recipe. I had one a few months ago and I loved it.
oreo truffles are a big hit with my family and friends too. I use my smaller cookie scooper to make mine . Just scoop em out onto wax paper then put them on a fork to dip them .
i have also bought the mini oreos and just covered those with chocolate - they were gone in minutes and people were asking for more when i took them to a holiday dinner last year.
I love to make Oreo truffles for gift giving. They are always a big hit!
1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese
1 package of Oreos (crushed fine)
Mix the 2 together and mold into a truffle. Then dunk them in melted chocolate.
I also like to make Drumsticks. Large pretzels dipped in caramel and then dipped in chocolate. I know...both recipes are easy but then my kids can help make them. They like to give them to their teachers.
I would love to know if anyone has any great tips on making chocolate truffles. I tried making them for the first time and the heat of my hands made them a mess and I couldn't get them into nice round balls. I ended up throwing out the batch because it took so long to get 1 truffle made that it was just too frustrating. So if anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.
Fiddlesticks Those little Santas are the Best!! So Cute. They made me giggle as soon as I opened the pic. Thanks
Hey twooten!! Welcome to where the crazy people hang out! Hehehe. Glad to see you here!
fiddle~can you send me yours or post it? I had no problem posting. This is what I thought everyone was talking about.
I love this topic! I am going to get searching and I will post all my recipes. This is my favorite time of year
I can email if you give me your email But they look just like yours ! I had them in my photos for the last yr and CC jus removed them last week, since they are cleaning out everything .
What do you mean they are cleaning out everything? I thought that just happened when the site went down that time.
If its not a cake or decorated cookie they are removing it from your photos! I have had several photos removed of whoopie pies the Santa heads xmas candies etc ! ALL gone , and any double photos you might also have posted . Its just a matter of time till they get to whoever has anything posted that doesent belong on CAKE CENTRAL !
There is a thread about it floating around somewhere to . Also lots of fruit items have been removed from different peoples photos.I guess it was just my turn.
How do you attach the pom pom at the top? Those are just too cute you guys! Thanks Fiddlesticks for sending me your pic.
Mine were just low temp hot glued.
Okay, so they are removing pics just from our 'posted' pics, not from our 'favorites'?
I've been pulling my 'favorites' pics and putting them in folders on the computer. But it takes forever!
Vicky If you have a picture saved and they remove it from someones photos its also gone from your fav,s. Once they remove it from wherever its gone.
I have had people pm and ask me why I removed my photo that they had in their fav,s but it wasent me its CC. Its because this is Cake Central. not candy central or cocoa central and I think they are just trying to make room in the galleries for all the stuff that belongs !I do understad that to !
I agree with it too, but wish we would get a warning. Now I understand why some of the saved ones from others is gone from my files.
But this site has GONE WILD. Ha, ha. We are all so diverse and creative and full of knowledge, that it gets out of control, only we keep our shirts on unlike the other 'gone wild' sites. ha, ha.
Hmmmm, cake girls gone wild! Ha, ha.

I have several binders I made up of the recipes I print out or step/steps,s I print, The pictures I save! Got to have it !
What a great topic! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas. Here is something I got a couple of years ago that I thought was cute.
This poem was attached to a 5# bag of sugar.
There's 1 week left 'till Christmas,
There's so much left to do.
I've got to shop,
I'm ready to drop,
You must be busy too!
So here's a gift from me to you,
I know you'll think I'm sweet.
Just take this sack,
Don't give it back,
And make your own darn treat!!
JenLen reminded me of a gift my husband got last year. This poem was attached to a bag of marshmellows that was in a gift basket. Here it goes:
Santa checked his list,
and then he checked it twice.
He found that you've been naughty,
and sometimes not so nice.
So, no candles, no goodies,
and now here's the scoop-
Santa's filling your stocking with
SNOWMAN POOP!!!

Haha! Too funny! LOL!
Ok lilybird, I just made your homemade Kahlua recipe. 3 weeks is a long wait to try but I'm sure it's worth it!
Thanks for posting!
jovigirl--you really need to taste it every few days just so you will know when it's really good. Any cook worth her salt knows that!!!!!!!!!!!
That's an early holiday gift from me to you--an excuse to taste it now!!
I most especially love the sugar poem!!!!
The snowman one is cute too.
Here's one I did for a bunch of ladies I have meetings with. I filled a mug that had a snowman on it with marshmallows, hot chocolate mix, Hershey kisses and a candy cane. I'm sure a miniature bottle (that 2" size from the liqueur store) of Kahlua would be a nice touch in there too!
The tag said:
Was told you've been real good this year,
always glad to hear it, with freezing weather drawing near.
You'll need to warm the spirit, so here's a little Snowman Soup complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow, it's sure to do the trick!
