I was thinking...Id like to do a 3 tiered cake with the giant cupcake stacked 3 high..sort of a whimsical style cake.

Anybody done this before?/ I did a search and didnt see anything in the galleries..but that doesnt mean its not there! icon_smile.gif

Any pictures, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Pink cake box did this recently... although the cupcakes are graduated in size (they, no doubt, did not use a giant wilton cupcake pan lol).

Think the stack posted by PollyMags is done by Colette Peters or is heavily influenced by Colette's. Love it thumbs_up.gif

PinkZiab - not intending to hijack the thread, but I love your signature! As a former French teacher (now the Department Head of English and Modern Languages - i.e. French/German) at my high school, I got a big laugh out of that one!

check wilton's site too. I saw a little while ago they used the big cupcake and then a smaller cupcake on top. it was cute. I have made the big cupcake three times now and each time I have a problem. My chocolate cake sinks in the bottom and they're a little tough to ice, I would definitly use a really sturdy cake, that's been my downfall each time so far.
