I was wondering if anyone could help me get the food colorings correct to make maroon frosting. the cake I made my son for going away to college came out dusty rose. I was wondering if anybody had a formula for maroon that could help i.e. 2 parts red and 1 part blue?? Any help would be grateful.[/b]
I have made several cakes with maroon (our high school color). I make it by starting with chocolate icing or white icing tinted brown then add the maroon coloring. Hope that helps.
