I use her recipe but use 4 + cups shortening and 2 large bags of PS (2 lbs each??? Brain farct right now). It comes close to running over but not quite. I also use approx. 1/4 to 1/3 of coffee creamer with 3 tbs vanilla or other flavoring.

i guess it depends some on the watts of your motor too.

what wattage is yours?

I think it's a 250 watts. It's a KA Classic

Well, after looking up specs it looks like I have a 4 1/2 qt bowl icon_surprised.gif

Any idea how I should alter your recipe?

Malakin I may give that a try. Thanks

Hello Candies

I have the 4 1/2 quart mixer and I just finished a wedding cake for 300 servings. I used the sugar shack recipes and used 4 cup of shortening and 4 pounds of powder sugar in each batch. It turned out so smooth and beautiful. I love it and the mixer handled it fine.
