I have several of the Spinning Leaf oreo cookie molds which they generously sent for our fundraising projects. I also ran across a lady selling out her cake decorating supplies and she had several packages of the Clear Party favor boxes that are sold with Wilton wedding supplies. They measure appr. 2 inches square but I don't think they are a Wilton brand. I purchased the 4 inch foil candy wrappers in the burnt orange and christmas colors. I put a little shredded coordinating colored paper in the bottoms (not really necessary) of the boxes, dropped in a wrapped cookie and tied with a little bow. You could fit 2 regular oreo cookies, dipped in chocolate in the boxes if you don't have the molds. They really look cute and I will put a basket out for my "special" trick and treaters and also do them for the various fundraisers from now to Christmas.

How about sharing some of your favorite packaging ideas!!!

I bought several packages of those type of boxes a while back. I had the same idea, but to use them as wedding favors. I bought the plain mold and thought about putting initials on top of the coated oreo's. Well, since my son and his fiancee keep putting off the date, I haven't had a chance to put them together yet!

Linda your welcome ,its a cute cake! Thanks for the nice comments on my oreos, There are also some v/day ones in my photos that I added mini hearts on top . I also love the mold that has the face design on it and the paw prints I have several . Theres so many ways to use these molds, and they look real cute when you match the inside cream filling with the holiday ,when possible
Like orange cream for halloween ,those are out right now then the red cream for xmas and v/day etc !

Just got home with more Oreo cookies and the new Banana Split flavor. Someone asked what they were. They are sandwich cookies with different flavors of cream filling inbetween the cookie. They have regular and double stuff (twice the filling) and they have them mostly with chocolate cookie but some have a vanilla cookie now. The Spinningleaf company makes clear plastic molds to make covering them with chocolate easier. You put some melted chocolate in the bottom of the mold. Then you press in an Oreo cookie. Now you spoon on a little more melted chocolate so the top is level. Put them in the frig or freezer until hard and pop out a pretty chocolate covered Oreo. The uses for these are endless and like Fiddle said, you can match the filling to the design on top. They are a wonderful company to work with and they have many different molds.

I also stopped at T J Max again and they have new canisters of flavored sugars to top cookies with. The taller shaker canisters have 4 or 5 flavors in each--Cappaccino, butter rum, raspberry, praline,????? and they taste just like they are suppose to. Only 2.99 and they have new bottles of flavored syrups also. My new favorite place!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't post a picture, but just read the post carefully and you will be able to picture it. No, Fiddle, my daughter has not come out yet LOL.

ok. im ordering some molds this weekend.
have a few questions
- what kind of chocolate do you use? candy melts or real chocolate?
- do i need to mix anything into the chocolate to make for a softer bite?
- how long do they take to set?
- how do you store them? on counter or in fridge?
- does anyone sell these. if so what do you charge?

I have used candy melts and reg choc chips.
I put mine in the freezer till set.Just a few mins.
I stored them on the counter in a cool place .You dont really have to cover them because the choc coating keeps them fresh.
Also When I ordered mine last fall if you ordered I think it was 5molds? They sent you one free.
I could have the wrong # but it tells on their site somewhere .
