I haven't made these since my Wilton Course II and it shows. I'm trying to follow the instructions from my course 2 book, but they just aren't right. What am I doing wrong? Is it the icing consistency or the way I'm holding the bag? Any suggestions?

I could never get them quite right, but your icing looks a little thin.

I can't see the pic. It's coming up as an error...file does not exist.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to try Edna's method right now. I think they look better than the Wilton daisy anyway.

I don't know why..but I can never view any picture in any of these forums. It drives me insane! It always says the picture is no longer there!

It's been doing that a lot lately, it's so frustrating!

Well, it was here for a while yesterday, I don't know what happened. I even resized it to be sure it was small enough to be legal.

I tried Edna's method and they looked better but I still like my gumpaste daisies much better. I just had a request for the classic Wilton flower basket cake, so I want RI flowers. I guess I just need more practice.

I only use RI flowers for funky cakes, they kind of complement them. But I am all for gumpaste daisies too!..They are gorgeous!.. By the way I always tell my students..pracitce makes perfect..is a matter of time and it will click!

I actually do my daisies the opposite of how wilton teaches -- i know you are supposed to but I flip the tip over and pull into the center. it makes the edges rounded.

if you want quick pretty daisies, use the gumpaste cutters and do gumpaste ones. I feel that they look better and they are MUCH easier to do!
