I am getting started on a cake for tomorrow in the shape of a tiki hut. It is going to be 10 inch round and about 5 layers high. My question is where and how should I support it? I have an idea about how to do the rest but any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch!

Crystal ~ this is what I would do, although I don't know if it's the "right" answer icon_redface.gif I would use skewers ( I like these b/c they are easy to cut to size and easy to handle ) to support. I would put the first 2 layers, add skewers to size, a cake board, next 2 layers, skewers, cake board, last layer then I would sharpen a dowel rod and put this in from top to bottom to stabilize the whole thing. Hope this helps... icon_biggrin.gif
