I ACTUALLY HAVE FEW QUESTIONS, I TRIED TO BUY BLACK FONDANT BUT BOTH STORES I WENT TO WERE OUT. NOW I HAVE TO MAKE IT AND PLAN TO MAKE MMF...........CAN I MAKE IT CHOCOLATE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS OR DO I HAVE TO USE CANDY MELTS? ALSO, ANY IDEA HOW MUCH BLACK
COLORING I NEED TO ADD TO TAKE IT THE REST OF THE WAY?

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR RECIPES WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

If you look under mmf recipes on this site - there is one called True Black MMF. Sorry, I don't have the link...I'll look for it...
it's chocolate and black food coloring

I use the "Rhonda's Ultimate Chocolate MMF" recipe when I make black fondant. I just add the black paste color after the cocoa powder have been mixed in and it works great. It tastes good too since it's chocolate, and you don't need a lot of color. I don't measure how much I use, but yesterday I made half a batch and I dipped a regular knife in the black paste two times and scoped up the paste, mabye 1 tsp (?) or a little more. Just make sure it's really black at that stage, and it will stay black even after adding the powdered sugar.
