Someone posted last week about having shiny fondant, and I think I have figured out what it might be. Are you using acutal marshamallows or the marshamallow cream? I made my first mm fondant about 2 years ago using marshamallow fluff, and it came out very shiny. I now make it with regular marshmallows. So, I hope that helps.
