I purchased some stencils from a local cake supply shop. The owner said that she purchased them from a company at the ICES convention in Orlando. The brand of the stencil is, "Designer Stencils". I will be using them this weekend on a baby shower cake. Do you have any tips on using stencils. I'll be using R.I. on fondant.
I have not used that perticular type of stencils but have use plastic ones from craft stores a lot. Be sure you get the stencil straigh; fixed on tight so it stays in place. Use a small spatula to smooth the icing on with, keep it thin, then carefully lift it straight up & away.
Only smooth the icing on it one direction. Not too thick but not too skimpy either. Practice on the side of a bowl or can or even on your counter top first.
