I have some extra raspberry preserves and was planning on using it as a raspberry filling or raspberry flavored B/C. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of cake to make that will go well with it? Unfortunately, I can't use anything that has chocolate or nuts. Any suggestion (with recipes) would be greatly appreciated!
My alltime favorite combo is white cake, raspberry filling and BC icing. My new favorite non-scratch white recipe is WASC (white almond sourcream) found in the recipe section of CC.
Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go to the grocery store so I ended up using what I had in my house. I made a lemon cake...hope it's not too tart! I will remember your suggestions for next time.
