Yes, I think you are right about them being text files. I tried to figure it out a little last night, but didn't have time to really go into it. If I do get it figured out, I'll pm you with instructions or heck I'll even just do it for ya - that is IF I can figure it out. icon_lol.gif

To post a photo in the forums, you only need to make your photo 400 x 400 or less in PIXELS. Most computers have Microsoft Office Picture Manager already installed on it . You can used the resize function of that program to make your pictures smaller for the forums. It is quite easy to do. If you need a quick tutorial, please let me know and I can post it here.

As far as the muffin pictures. They do not qualify as decorated cakes or cookies and cannot be posted to the galleries. Hope this clears things up for everyone.

You still have to have the extension pdf or xls - even if the pixels are the correct size - or it will give you an error. I just tried it AND it says so on the "Allowed Extensions and Sizes" link under the Add an Attachment section.

it might not be so in all forums but in this particular one - that's the error I keep getting.

GrandmaG Posted 10 Sep 2008 , 3:40pm

Ok. I sized it to 400x400 pixels. It cut off half of the picture but I want to see if it works! Thanks for the info! icon_smile.gif

It didn't work and this is the reply I received.

You are not allowed to post Files with the Extension jpg within this Forum

KathysCC Posted 10 Sep 2008 , 6:58pm

Interesting, I tried it myself and you are right. I will talk to Jackie about it and let you guys know something. Okay.

nrctermite Posted 10 Sep 2008 , 7:13pm

KathysCC
sent this to me in a pm, since we wondered about not posting the muffins.

KathysCC Posted 10 Sep 2008 , 8:43pm

Jackie said she fixed it so you can post photos here. I'm going to give it a try and post a thread under cupcakes if it works.

GrandmaG Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 12:22pm

OK, is it my computer or do you have to click on the X IMG. to see the picture?

vickymacd Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 12:31pm

Holy smokes, ya get busy and you girls take off in a new direction!!!!
I have to leave for work and have company tonight....I told you this on the other postings....I need to quit work!!!! I'm so far behind on the other site. What happened to the cuppie site? Ohhh, I'm soooo lost.

What is this site all about then? Were you kicked out of the other one? Too many postings? I mean, it DID take over!!! Ha, ha.

Well, everyone, I'll try and catch up in about 10 years, but keep on posting those yummy recipes!!

Mel, any new pics of the wee ones?
Gosh, I'm quitting work today. I'm done. Think they'll buy the fact of 'I'm missing my cupcake site" as an excuse? Now football and Cross Country season is in full swing....there goes my weekends too. icon_sad.gif

But I love watching my boys play. I'll check back.

stsapph Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 1:16pm

Vicky- the cupcake thread is still in full swing. We just thought it would be fun to start a cupcake club where we each try a new recipe every week and post what we did or didn't like about it and what we changed. Grandma started it with CCCC#1 and passed it down. It has now been passed to Mel who will pass it to someone else for next week. HTH. Good luck with everything and hopefully you get some rest soon!

fiddlesticks Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 1:16pm

GrandmaG.. After you post and that little x comes up you click on the words next to it and the post should open !

fiddlesticks Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 1:19pm

Well Now I see that the picture KathysCC posted back a page will no longer open ??? Maybe she just removed it because it doesent belong on this thread ?

vickymacd Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 1:54pm

Okay, I'm still confused on this thread. What do you mean it is passed to someone? I saw Mel posted a recipe. Is someone in particular supposed to try it, or everyone? Sorry, I'm confused.

stsapph Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 1:57pm

Everyone can try it. If id doesn't sound like something you would like, just wait til next week and try that one. Mel will choose someone to pick the next recipe for everyone to try. If I remember correctly, the first recipe was for a carrot cupcake and the second was for a lemon.

vickymacd Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 2:02pm

Thanks for clearing it up! Sounds fun! I'm in.

GrandmaG Posted 11 Sep 2008 , 2:40pm

Here is the link to the first CCCC. If you read the last post it has the links to the other two CCCC recipes! Have fun Vicky! Try all the recipes if you want or skip the ones you prefer not to make and critque!

I didn't remove my picture. I don't even think I can remove it. I don't know where it went. Hmmmm.

fiddlesticks Posted 12 Sep 2008 , 1:03pm

KathysCC..Thanks for the reply .Yes we have had nothing but problems with posting pictures on threads since we got a cupcake forum. When we first started the very long cupcake thread we could post all of are results on the thread and then we got the cucake forum and cant post any pictures ?

Cookies4kids Posted 12 Sep 2008 , 8:52pm

Gee, I can't believe how far behind you can get in just 2 weeks.
Mel--this recipe sounds great and I am so glad to see that we can add muffins. Heck, they are the same shape and I just love them. I have some great recipes to share. I have the Red Lobster recipe for those fabulous cheddar biscuits they serve if you ever want it.

vickymacd Posted 12 Sep 2008 , 8:55pm

GrandmaG~ thanks for the info! I'll get busy trying this weekend.

fiddlesticks Posted 12 Sep 2008 , 8:57pm

Im yelling Oh lilybird Please can we have it ???

Karema Posted 12 Sep 2008 , 8:58pm

Cookies4kids Posted 13 Sep 2008 , 12:35am

LOL I will be happy to post the recipe but I probably shouldn't post it on here. Where is a good place to post it? I think this is probably one of those knock off recipes, but it sure tastes the same to me.

fiddlesticks Posted 13 Sep 2008 , 12:39am

Oh I dont know ? Maybe you can email it to those that want it ? Or Pm it ?
Im glad you finaly answered, My arms were getting tired of waving . And I was holdng a muffin/cupcake in each hand! LOL!
