Here's what they ordered and paid $55 per half sheet:
1. Strawberry cake w/buttercream icing. Icing was good, but the cake had the texture of rubber (I suspect it was a box mix that had been overbeaten at too high a speed). After one bite my piece went in the trash.
2. Ding-dong cake (supposed to be like a Hostess Ding-Dong and who likes that nasty stuff anyway). Dark, dry chocolate (mostly tasteless) cake, whipped goo filling, covered by waxy ganache-like chocolate coating. Blech!
Now, I'm not an expert decorator but I can sure bake better than that!
When will people learn? I'm sure yours would have been awesome!
