making cake this weekend for my son's birthday and wondering what is a good cake that will hold up to carving

I like the basic chocolate pound cake recipe from The Cake Mix Doctor. I make it using a Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge cake mix.

I use the recipe found at the link below. After I bake it, I normaly place it in the freezer for 30 min and it's easy to carve with out a lot of mess.

Thank you so much for asking this!!! I would ALSO love to have great sculpting recipes so the chocolate one interests me very much! I would love to hear what people use for regular cake (not chocolate) that needs to be carved for a 3D cake?????
