On Sept 17th, my daughter will turn 17. She would like a special cake for this birthday.
So far, she has decided on a square tier cake. We are looking at the largest tier being 10 inches which is the size pan we bought.
She would like something fun-not flowery or girly. She would also like to help decorate it herself. She can do stars in cake decorating.

Any ideas or pictures we could look at for the cake would be useful. I am off this weekend, so we will probably bake the cake layers this weekend. She also wants it to be a whit cake with peppermint flavor.

Since she wants it peppermint flavored, what about a pepperminty looking cake? I found this picture of peppermint patties, maybe you could build off of it, put some peppermints as the border or something.

What about doing something with dots?? Or even stripes? That can be very fun and mature!! I like chocolate with pink and almost a lime green color together! I was thinking of something like this for my lil sis's 17th bday!! HTH
