I want to make a 3D truck cake and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. I would like to support it so the tires are under it and not have to "draw" them onto the sides of the cake.

Anyone have any ideas?
I will layer and fill sheet cakes and cut out the truck part, but I am having trouble with the tires.
(I am thinking a board on small pedestal-type things behind the tires. - but I would love other ideas).

Also - what can I use that is edible and silver for the grill and bumper?

Also - I am new to this forum - where can I find a recipe for fondant that actually tastes good and falls well (I will be covering the carved cake with fondant, and it will have lots of angles.)

Also - where on the site do I find tips and techniques for cake building and decorating.

Lots of questions, I know!

Thanks in advance!
