Hi I am looking for a tried and tested moist orange and poppyseed cake. A client wants one of the layers of her wedding cake this flavour. Do you know if I could use the WASC recipe? I cant see orange as a substitute flavour. Any recipes would be great. Thanks in advance.
Do you have a lemon-poppyseed cake you like? If so, just use that and sub out orange juice/extract for the lemon additions.
When I do orange cake of any kind I tend to do this if I don't have a recipe I trust, though I tend to add a little orange food color and a splash of lemon juice in with the orange for a little extra bite and acidity.
