is there a list somewhere with cake and filling ideas? i like looking at different combinations. i need ideas for a 2yr old party.

I never met a 2 year old who didn't like yellow cake with buttercream filling and icing, lol!

There are sooooooo many conbinations ... it just depends on your likes.
A few ideas for you:

white cake with allmost any fruit (jam) filling
yellow w/fruit filling OR b'cream OR custard/pudding type fill

chocolate cake again w/almost any fruit filling; b'cream or custard/pudding

Cherry OR strawberry cake w/b'cream OR matching fruit cream filling (add fruit to b'cream)
