does anyone know where I can find rectangular or square cookie tins where I won't have to buy them in bulk? I am planning on making 3" cookies and stacking them sideways in a tin.

Check somewhere like the Dollar Store. They usually carry a variety of tins around the holiday season. Also, I've seen some very nice ones at WalMart...though they run higher. Since WalMart carries them, places like Target should, too.
