I need to make a cake for a 10 year olds birthday party. She is having it at a beading jewelery store and they will be making stuff with the beads.

Any ideas? It doesn't ahve to be about beading, but it would be a neat surprise for her if t was.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe for the trim you could make little fondant balls to look like beads and then use luster dust for the shine. Or, string the fondant beads on a string and hang them off cake so it looks like necklaces. Don't forget about the different colored dragrees or edible pearls! Make sure you post a picture when you're done. Good luck thumbs_up.gif

What about making a string of beads that end at the top of the cake. Making a loop of beads to form a 0 and pretend to stick a needle in to form the 1.

I was thinking of a similar idea of a fondant border around the bottom to look like a necklace, but with a hip topper of beads on wires and spirals of wires coming out of the top with room for your message around the centerpiece of wired beads. Maybe a round cake would work best.

Good Luck.
