Regarding your stiffened buttercream damn ...
I like a little extra filling in the middle of my cakes and was just wondering if I were to add a second layer of stiffened buttercream (e.g. pipe another layer directly on top) if you thought it would hold up ?
Love your Fondant DVD by the way !!!
Well I'm not SugarShack but my opinion is: don't do it.
Instead, torte your cake into more layers and put in more, thin layers of filling.
The thicker the filling (unless it is b'cream) the more chance of it 'squishing' out even w/a stiff dam.
Thank you kakeladi ... the filling would be buttercream,
on second thought I think that I may take your suggestion just to be on the safe side !!!
Thank you for you reply !!!!!!!
Yah, SS has evacuated away from home due to the hurricane...she might not be able to get online.
hey! iam in little rock
yes, torte and use 2 layers of filling
otherwise will be too tall and unstable
OK Sugarshack and thank you ...
That's right !!! I completely forgot you are from LA !!!
So glad you are okay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Sharon, I was thinking of you today and wondering if you and yours were ok. Would you have a recipe for a chocolate buttercream? I watched your DVD for the third time and I'm going to try it this week. STAY SAFE...
