I want to make a Pirouline cake but I don't know what kind of cake to make. What flavors/fillings taste best with this type of cake?

Thanks in advance,

Lori

It really depends on what flavor wafers you are using. The chocolate ones are great with just about anything...but my favorite is fudge cake with caramel filling and chocolate icing...topped with strawberries.

If you can find the lemon ones, I like them with lemon cake and strawberry buttercream.. sounds wierd, but I liked it...

I'm not a fan of hazelnut so I haven't tried anything with those.

I just made a carrot cake recently and used the vanilla wafers. It was great! I also have used the hazelnut wafers with a tiramisu type of cake.

I used the vanilla wafers with a neopolitan cake (three smaller layers, white, choc, strawberry stacked) fudge filling, and buttercream icing. Was yummy.
