Am from the Caribbean (st. lucia to be exact) and its very difficult to come across Almond product (flour, meal) for marziapan. Is there any substitute that can to used intead.
I googled "substitution for almonds in marzipan" and got this page with a few recipes:
One of the recipes uses cream cheese and powdered sugar, and the other uses pistachios. They are worth a look imo
I also found this one, which has a recipe for marzipan with a recipe at the bottom to substitute pecans for the almonds, which looks good to me.
