Hi,
I have to make a dummy cake (a fake one) very fashion for a girl and she wants fuschia fondant to cover the cake..
I was wondering if i can spray it with food color spray, because it takes a lot of work to get a fucsia color kneading the fondant with gel paste....
Has anyone had experience with that method???
I think it would I used the black food color spray to deepen the cape on my Batman cake (in my photos). I had colored the fondant "blackish" beforehand, but it wasn't as rich as I wanted it. With fuschia, you wouldn't need to do that first, I don't think. Good luck!
If you make MMF, you can easily stir in the color before adding the MMs. If you purchase fondant, you can buy it pre-colored.
When I have to knead in color, I pull the fondant like taffy and the color just blends right in. It's quick and easy
