Im new to Cake Designs and I work alot with fondant;
I have a butter cake recipe that I use alot very firm.
I would like to use other cake recipes that are posted here
but im scared that the cake wont handle the weight of the buttercream & fondant...
How do I know if a recipe is right for fondant or is does anything basically goes?
Are cake recipes with cake flour good for fondant?
I put fondant on all my cakes and have done a number of different kind of cakes. I have not had a problem with the fondant being to heavy, as long as its rolled thin. You shouldnt have a problem.
