Hello again my cake decorating friends, yesterday i was melting some bark coating to make some sea shells and I added 1 vial of lorann marshmallow flavoring. Well the whole thing turned almost to clay...why would that happen?
I thought this only happends to real chocolate?

Nope, that also happens with almond bark. You'll also have a problem if you try to color it....to solve this problem, I just add vegetable oil until it's smooth again. Most people use coloring made just for candy, but I don't have any of that.
Try adding oil to see if it fixes your problem.

I did this last week also. I had to color some because the suppply store was out of the color I needed. Just add a little bit of shortening and stir until smooth. Just keep working with adding a little shortening at a time and it should smooth right out. Good luck.
