I have a request to possibly make a 3D Hello Kitty cake. Has anyone ever made it before? If so how do you do it?

I thought about making one before I decided to just make a Hello Kitty topper instead. I don't think that she would be too hard to make 3D...if you used the sports ball pan for the head and the wonder mold pan for the body I think it would work pretty well. Her head is just like a ball with the two triangles for ears, and her face is really simple too...just cut two black ovals and one yellow oval from fondant and you'd have her face. You could use Little Debbie strawberry rolls covered in white fondant for the arms. They'd have to have some kind of support.

Interesting, I actually brought the 3D bear pan yesterday and I'll try it that way first for my practice. But the carved cakes do look better but I'm not that advanced yet. Thanks everyone icon_smile.gif.
