I made one using a sheet cake - depending on how big you want it. I drew a template, ( horse shoe shaped). Baked the cakes froze and then carved them inwards. I left about 3" on top and 6" on the bottom. Then slanted it inwards so that the bottom of the cake is wider ( 6") I baked multiple cakes to stack and then carve.
Hope that helps. I used the round sprinkles for "people"

Panipuri, thanks for your reply. I have the horseshoe pan and am using it for the "track". I am just having a hard time figuring out how to make the stadium of people. icon_sad.gif

Do you need for the stadium of people to be cake to be eaten or can it just be for looks?

round sprinkles, non-pariels. Perfect for a crowd of people.
