I am attempting to make a curly Q topper for a cake. I have all the curls drying right now. My question is- how do I attach it to the cake? Thanks for any help.

Often, the curls are made on wires, then the wire can be inserted into a straw in the cake (wire should not be inserted directly into the cake)

Thank you! Can they be attached on a piece of fondant that is on top of the cake? Thought I read that somewhere??

You can use fondant but not sure how stable that would be unless it was dried somewhat. You can also use royal icing.
