I have been asked to make something for a friend's mother's bridal shower. It is being held at a local tea room. Any suggestions on what I could make other than a cake? Petit fours but not sure how to go about them.

traditional tea cookies, mini cheesecakes with different fruit toppings, biscotti, cream puffs, decorated cookies in different tea party shapes, cupcakes with swirls and flower on each, bite size brownies with icing and royal icing flower on each, serve individual cupcakes or anything in teacups bought from thrift stores (mix and match), let guest keep for favor. That's all I got HTH!

i did a high tea party for my sister's baby shower. Because it was traditional english we had all kinds of deserts provided. So to bring cake would have been overkill. Instead we made really cute little bird nest cupcakes for take home items.
