Quick....just Divorced, Wants A Celebration Cake..
Decorating By Trixyinaz Updated 26 Aug 2008 , 8:49pm by ElinJ
any cool idea for this type of cake? I just made a 10" round cake so something that would be fitting for that. It is for a woman (my neighbor) whose divorce was final today. I have no idea what-so-ever on how to decorate it. Thanks!
Was it an amicable divorce or a nasty battle?
You could do a small wedding cake, but cut in half top to bottom, and decorated separately. Her side is beautiful and happy and perfect, just like her life will be. You could add representations of all the stuff she got in the divorce...house, car, bank acct, money, whatever. His side is trashed and pathetic...borders falling off, gray colors, lonely, sad and bare. Just like his life will be.
If she just wants a fresh start leaving all those memories behind, you could design a cake around her future plans, hopes, dreams...whatever those might be. Bright colors, sunshine, rainbows, whatever

That is a lovely idea.
For the other type of cake look here:

Thanks. Unfortunately, I didn't get any notifications of replies so I didn't think anyone responded. I made the cake. I wrote "Single and ready to Mingle" on it. Then I made a heart shaped jacuzzi on top of the cake and had a guy and woman in there. Bathing suits thrown out on the grass with a bottle of wine next to the guy. My friend said last night that all she needs is just a one nighter....so I felt this was fitting.
