Newbie here...I'm wanting to start experimenting with gumpaste flowers and figures soon. Do you recommend making your own gumpaste from recipes posted on CC or ready-made Wilton Gumpaste or the Wilton Gumpaste Mix? A friend said that her instructor said stay away from the Wilton mix. What have your experiences been. Thanks so much for any advise you have to offer!!

I would suggest Nicolas Lodge's recipe. Its awsome for flowers. If you want to make figurines just mix it 50/50 with normal fondant and you have great modelling paste!
