Hello everyone! I am trying to make a dark brown but am only getting a weird army/ puke green. I added a little black to darken it and got no luck. I am out of brown now!!!! I used half a little jar of Wilton brown. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif PLEASE HELP!

the only thing I can think is to add chocolate. Can you call the customer to ask?

Are you talking about BC? If so, can you use cocoa powder?

Are you coloring Buttercream or Fondant?

What color did you start with? I'm only asking because if you started with white, I'm confused by the army green color.

Use cocoa powder. Hershey's makes something called special dark cocoa mix and it works wonderfully! You won't even need to add any color at all. It gets a beautiful chocolate brown color. icon_biggrin.gif

If you have some on hand, try adding more chocolate.

But if you just want the chocolate color and NOT the chocolate flavor, you may have to start over with white and use alot of brown and maybe a touch of black for a deeper color.
