Hi,

I have to make a dress for a baby shower and I was looking for ideas on how i can get the look of the picture. Maybe someone has a dress pattern? Any ideas would help.

Thanks

It looks to me like this cake is covered in 4 different pieces of fondant:

A smooth finish for the chest of the dress and then trimmed.

Then a Piece for each sleeve: Start at the top and drape in waves toward the bottom.

Another piece for the length of the dress starting under the chest. Starting from left to right, drape it like the sleeves.

I would assume the lace is royal icing or something? Oh well, hope I helped icon_rolleyes.gif

My 2 cents worth...probably worth less that that tho LOL... I think the lace and ribbons that come from the neck line are real. Not edible....

Looks like they tapered the cake, so that the skirt part tapered down to nothing....

Sorry times up!! That was my 2 cents worth LOL
