I have a huge bucket of Sams But-r-creme and was wondering if i can make it chocolate?

Can i just add some melted chcoclate or cocoa powder?

has anyone tried this? Ijust dont want it to go to waste.

It couldn't hurt to try. I'd start with some melted unsweetened or bittersweet chocolate, mixing that into a small bowl of it. Add some cocoa powder, and you'll probably have to add some powdered sugar to bring it back up to the right texture. Let us know how it goes.

What I used to do is mix cocoa powder with warm water to prevent lumps and to mix the cocoa completely, then I added to the sam's icing. It was delicious, a little thinner that the one on the bucket but great. And I made it by taste, no measurements.

I have added cocoa to commercial buttercream like that at Sams and it worked very well! Everyone loved it icon_biggrin.gif
