Newbie here. icon_confused.gif I've never worked with fondant or MMF before. I was wondering if you guys would explain to me how to stick MMF (or fondant) to BC, and MMF to MMF?? I think I read somewhere to just use a little water to stick fondant to fondant. Is that right? Or do you use RI? And what about if you just add, say, stripes or circles to a BC iced cake? icon_cry.gif Sooo many questions!!

TIA,
Jen

I jsut use a dab of bc on all. To cover the whole cake with fondant, I put it on while bc is fresh/soft before it has crusted over.

Yes, if you're putting MMF decorations on a Buttercream cake, just dab on a little buttercream onto the back of your MMF decoration, and stick it on. For MMF on MMF, either do it before it dries, or use the tiniest bit of water on the back of the decoration, and stick it on! icon_smile.gif Dont use too much water though, or it could "eat" up the MMF

Wilton says to dissolve a 1/4 tsp size ball of gumpaste in 1 Tbsp. water (this takes about 1/2 hr or so).

That is the only thing I can get to make the fondant stick to itself.
