Can some please tell me if whipped cream that is made at home & the cream sold in the supermarkets is the same. Can I use whipped cream to make truffle filling?

Also the cake has to be covered in fondant, so once I fill the cake can I leave it without refrigeration. Please help. thanks

Whipped cream is aerated heavy or whipping cream. A cup of whipped cream will not weigh the same as a cup of liquid cream.
(You can't successfully substitute volume amounts for weight measurements.)

Most recipes specify either liquid heavy or whipping cream, not cream that has been whipped.
