I really want to make a martini cake for my upcoming martini party, but I want it to be standing not flat. Can it be done? Any ideas on how to contain the top part of the martini? I planned on using a very sturdy "pole" covered in fondant for the stem, cake for the base with a styrofoam cake board. I'm just having a hard time with the top of the martini and how to balance it and make it look good. Thank you so much for ANY ideas!!

You can buy very large martini glasses and put your cake in that and icing it. I have seen the glasses in Michael's.
