Okay, here's the thing-Sunday is my son's b-day party, & I'm doing the Wilton carousel cake, with cupcakes on top instead of another layer of cake...well, I made a batch of marshmallow buttercream tonight, & instead of coming out great like last time, it's waaaay too buttery to me, & not sweet enough (I should've stuck with the Kraft marshmallow fluff, ugh).

Do you think it would be odd to maybe flavor the marshmallow buttercream (I have strawberry & lemon flavorings for icing & cake that I bought from a cake supply store), & just use it as flavored filling & icing for te cupcakes, but whip up a batch of regular buttercream for the cake part, or would that just be weird? icon_sad.gif

Not at all. A lot of people do things like that.

I think flavoring would be GREAT! After all, they do have strawberry marshmallows. Man, my mouth is watering. I need some marshmallows.

Definitely try strawberry. Strawberry marshmallows are soooo good. I have a belly-ache just thinking about it icon_rolleyes.gif .
