As for the swelling, I've had 4 c-sections and each was different. My 1st one probably took about 5-6 weeks before my ankles and feet started looking more "normal" but I also had lots of swelling in those areas before the baby too. I work men's flip flops to work as nothing else would fit 
! I used to envy the other ladies that were at the doc's office who could were cute/dainty shoes! The quickest the swelling went down for me would be about the 3 week mark but if your concerned at all (which I always am) go see your doctor again. Sometimes it just helps to get re-assurance from them. Hope your feeling yourself real soon! Hugs to both you and your baby girl!
