I'm doing square cakes and once I build up the sides and try to smooth the icing, it starts to pul on itself. The more I try the worse it gets. Is it to thick or to thin. I,m completelu freaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it's too thick. Add a couple of drops of water.
