Have you seen madhatter cakes from Planet cake? they are so beautiful!!! I wish someone knew and explained how to do this kind of cake. icon_cry.gif

I've not seen the ones you mention but:
There are several other names for this type of decorating:
tilty or tilted
topsey-turvey

Try searching for those. I know there are many in the galleries; maybe some of them have instructions or enough hints you can do it.

These are tupsy turvey but with the stips of fondant.

Try looking for Whimsical cakes , I have a printout that I was sure I got here on CC , I got it for a friend saving explaining to her how I do it and its very similar to how I do mine in my cakeshop though mine is not so many steps but way too hard to explain in words

I have the instructions on how to do the whimsical cake however I was hoping someone knew the instructions on how to do those strips on the cakes.
