I had the same problem when I made it. Hopefully someone can tell us what we did wrong!

The first time I made it, it was like that too. Then the second time, I followed the directions to the letter and didn't have a problem.

When MMF is that way, I add more sugar, then a little more shortening.

I KNOW YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF THE COCOA AND CHIPS. I ALWAYS USED THE MAXIMUM. HOW MUCH DID YOU USE? DID YOU USE THE RECIPE ON THIS SITE?

I used a MMF recipe that involved adding melted chocolate. It made a wonderful tasting lump of something I couldn't roll out or cover a cake with.

I tried again with the basic MMF recipe and replaced 3/4 cup of the powdered sugar with special dark cocoa powder and it worked great. I did add a tiny bit of glycerine to it just in case.
