If I get fired from my job, because I spend WAY WAY WAY to much time on CC! LOL.
Seriously, I think I have a problem... I think I was on here for 5 or 6 hours today... and I'm on here again. I just love looking at everyones cakes and reading all the threads and learning all the cool techniques!
My computer is on CC all day long. That way I can walk by and see what is happening... I honestly think if CC didn't exist, my house would be spotless! 
Here's to cake central getting us all fired. Ihave CCon my favorites at work on the laptop. Everyone I work with knows of my obsession with cakes, cookies, candy etc and now they bring up the internet and click on CC to see what's new. So my luck me and my coworkers will all get fired. Some days I wish they would fire me so I could tell my DH that I have to make cakes full-time because I dont have a job anymore 
Guess that isnt gonna happen anytime soon

can't help you....I'm so obsessed with this site....my husband called me at work today and said what are you doing.....looking at cakes on cake central...for him to even know what cake central is tells me I'm on here too much
I just love to look at all the beautiful cakes. Ya'll are some talented people!
They should have it in all the doctors offices instead of the soaps! I would much rather watch this! They could run all the pretty cakes then take viewers responses to help posters. That would also enlighten a lot of people about how much goes into the cakes they think we pop out of the oven ready to go.
I WFH, so being on CC all day is not a problem - I put in mad hours at work anyway, so having something else to look at every now and again is nice. (Cakes, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, cakes...) Especially when I am on pager duty at night!
MY problem is that every time I see another beautiful cake or read about one in progress - I WANT CAKE

Just an FYI - She can't collect unemployment if she is caught on the Internet looking at cakes. At least, not here, she can't.
There was a case here in PA, a guy I used to work with, who was caught by his supervisor on the Net, instead of working. He went to an unemployment hearing and was determined ineligible because he was online during working hours, and was considered stealing pay from the company because he wasn't productive.

I told my friend that I was addicted to this website and she asked me if it was porn! I said "yea - cake porn!"
Long story but I ended up in the hospital on Thursday and as soon as the nurse said they had wireless I told my DH to bring me my laptop so I could get back on CC!

this sounds like me too!!! It's the worse! Actually it's the best- that's the problem. I love the pictures and recipes and discussions...it is HIGHLY addictive (and they do warn you!).

You may find it hard to believe, but I was wondering about this as I dressed this morning! Has anyone ever gotten fired for being on cake central while at work?
Oh, and DH refers to my CC addiction as "cake porn", too! I brought a Verizon wireless card on vacation so that my laptop would have Internet access while we drove down the highway!

Well I used to be on CC while at work (a lot) and then I'd get on again when I got home. I got caught at work and was told I broke all records by the number of hits (whatever that means) 
. Good thing my boss, and his boss, and her boss, etc. are all customers of mine!
I don't get on CC at all anymore from work because I desperately need my job!!! It was such a hard habit to break!!

I don't think they could say that about me. I get the job done, but I do have a lot of downtime at work and get bored easily, so hanging out here helps with that. But, on the flip side, sometimes I get engrossed in this site and then the boss calls or emails me and asks me to do something work related and I find that I have a bit of an ATTITUDE. Yep, I'd rather be baking but unfortunately I need the money and benefits this job provides.
